An Unexpected Milestone

I’m honored to let you know that Built on Purpose has been named a winner of the International Firebird Book Awards in the Leadership Category!

Writing this book was never about recognition; it was about reflection - reflection on decades of lessons learned, and this recognition reinforces how important purposeful leadership and culture-building really are.

I wanted to capture the real lessons learned over three decades in leadership, the moments that shaped my understanding of self-awareness, culture, and purpose.

I’m so grateful to everyone who’s supported this project - from early readers to mentors and colleagues who shaped these lessons. I’m also grateful to Pat Rullo, the distinguished panel of judges and the folks at Speak Up Talk Radio for not only supporting authors through these awards, but their greater mission — supporting women and children experiencing homelessness.
